What would be the point of living if we didn’t let life change us?
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.Emerson
Role model-ish. Strangely and sorrowfully like her.
I believe in Rhett Butler. He’s the only cause I know. The rest doesn’t mean much to me.Rhett Butler, Gone With The Wind

We are visitors on this planet for a short time and must make good use of our stay. We need to make peace with ourselves and share this peace with others. And that the true meaning of life is discovered through contributing to other people’s happiness. The Dalai Lama
Small-spacespiration.
About to sign yet another lease for a small city-sized apartment, my mind is moving towards small-space design. I’ve been drawing inspiration from images like these lately.
from mdy. this pretty much sums up my life right now.
Jane Feltes is my hero.
I really, really, really like Jane Feltes. She writes for my favorite blog, The Hairpin. She blogs for my favorite magazine’s website, readymade.com. She’s hot, she’s oh-so-hilarious, and happens to be a mega-successful, award-winning producer of NPR’s This American Life (she writes for the program too). She has great bangs.

She can show you how to apply eyeliner three ways, teach you to make a mean short rib ragu, and interview New Orleans residents displaced by Katrina…at the SAME TIME. Or at least in the same day.
What? A personal introduction? I’m sorry, how terribly rude of me. Reader, meet Jane. Jane, meet reader. I hope you two will be very happy together:
